1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

How to read 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten:

1 book per day for 3 years = 1,095 books
10 books per week for 2 years = 1,040 books
3 books per day for 1 year = 1,095 books

You can start today! Begin by reading with your child. Chart how many books you read using paper logs, the free Beanstack app, or both. When you finish reading 1,000 books with your child, visit your library to claim your certificate and prize! Be sure to visit during major milestones, too!

Goals of the challenge:

To promote reading to newborns, infants, & toddlers.
To promote bonding through parent & child reading.
To promote life-long reading.
